On the heels of statewide day of action urging the state to increase funding for Prop 47, the state legislature’s budget conference recommended a budget that includes a $67.3 million allocation for Prop 47 programming, an increase of $38 million from the initial budget released by the governor in January.

The full legislature will vote on the budget proposal on or before June 15th.

This is no small victory!  Over the last six months, everyday residents have met with dozens of legislators; held town halls; testified at state hearings and led successful campaigns to win resolutions from cities, counties and school boards across California.

The legislature’s budget proposal is a testament to the power of organized communities.

Join us on June 16th at 6:00pm to celebrate the success of the campaign to fully fund Prop 47 and learn about next steps!
